By 2015, founder Josh Wall had been in the service industry for eight years. He had worked for a few different companies and had come to realize a need in his community: a service company that values its team members, pays them a fair wage, and takes the time to invest in their personal and professional growth. This was what Josh had hoped to receive in his own professional career and now he wanted to make that available to other professionals, young and old alike. He knew that if a company would take the time to invest in their team members, it would positively affect their clients, their industry, and their community.   

In 2015, newlyweds Josh & Dusti Wall founded Wall and Company with this vision in mind. With close to nothing in the bank, Josh quit his job as a landscape laborer and started working for his own lawn maintenance business. Day by day, month by month, ends were met and Wall & Company grew. Lawn maintenance services expanded to landscaping services. Team members were added. The paint division was opened. 

In 2017, Josh added Adam Kruse to the team as the landscape division manager with the goal of making him a business partner. More team members were added. In 2019, Adam officially became co-owner with Josh. As of 2021, Wall & Company has two paint crews and two landscape crews, along with a septic system installation division. We have also expanded our service area into the Post Falls/Coeur d’Alene, Idaho area.  More than the growth of our company, we are immensely proud of the growth of our team members and the many projects that we have done for our happy clients. 

We believe Wall & Company is a business that communicates care for both its clients and employees. We are continually striving to build a culture where team members enjoy coming to work and clients look forward to having us work on their projects. It’s a simple vision that impacts the lives of those around us and our community as a whole

Joshua Wall, Founder & President

Joshua moved from the Cleveland, Ohio area to Spokane in 2010 pursuing a degree in aviation at Moody Bible Institute. He had worked in the landscape industry for eight years and realized that he had a passion to start a business, grow a company, and serve the clients and laborers in that industry better. Joshua started Wall and Company in 2015.  Joshua currently serves as the visionary of the business, focusing on business growth and development. He enjoys seeing the business, himself, and his co-workers grow and anything that has to do with Excel spreadsheets. In his leisure time, Joshua enjoys taking long drives while listening to good music, taking his family out to do fun things together, trying new restaurants with his wife, watching his four (soon to be five) children learn and grow and helping them to problem-solve.  He also enjoys reading books on apologetics and philosophy. 

Adam Kruse, Vice-President & Landscape Division Manager

Adam came to Spokane from Idaho after being accepted into a two year program at Moody Bible Institute. He then transferred to Spokane Community College where he received an associates degree in landscape management. He also brings ten years of experience in the landscape industry. Joshua brought Adam on to the Wall and Company team in 2017 as the landscape division manager. In 2020, Adam became the legal co-owner of Wall and Company and now, in addition to being the landscape division manager, helps Joshua run the business. Adam enjoys working in the landscaping trade because he loves being outdoors and creating cool landscapes for clients. His favorite project was turning a client’s backyard from a steep, rocky slope into an outdoor living space. His crew hauled out sixty tons of dirt and installed two large retaining walls, an irrigation system, and beautiful green grass!  Adam also enjoys the contact with clients he experiences on a daily basis (we have some great clients!). Adam’s favorite things about Wall and Company are his co-workers and the company’s core values. He also enjoys working with his crew on landscaping projects. In his downtime, Adam enjoys skiing, camping, dirt-biking, and building things with his wife Allison. 

Jeff Williams, Paint Division Manager

Jeff moved from Sacramento, California to Spokane in 2000 to be closer to family.  He has been working in the painting industry for thirty-three years and has extensive experience in industrial, residential and commercial painting. He began working as the paint division manager at Wall and Company in 2020.  Jeff loves being the paint division manager for a lot of reasons: he loves the challenge, seeing plans get completed, making things that have lots of wear and tear on them become beautiful again, developing teams, and making the client’s dream become reality for them. In fact, if you ask Jeff, he would say that he loves everything about the painting trade. Wall and Company is a special place for Jeff because of the camaraderie between co-workers and the opportunities for personal and professional growth. He has loved seeing the paint division grow this year and is excited to see where the company is headed. At home, Jeff enjoys applying what he is learning from God’s Word to his family and work life. His greatest joy is being with his new wife, Tori, and his two amazing stepchildren.  

Mel Shular, Office Administrator

Mel (Joshua’s mother-in-law) moved to Spokane from southern Illinois in 2018 to work for Wall and Company as the office manager. She previously worked as office manager for a Big R store for fifteen years. Mel replaced Joshua’s wife Dusti in the office so that Dusti could be a full-time stay-at-home mom. Remembered by all for her bubbly personality, Mel takes joy in keeping things in order, taking care of her co-workers and clients, and seeing the Wall and Company crews making client’s dreams reality. She is thankful for the flexibility of her job and that she can work from home.  When she isn’t working, she loves spending time with her husband Dennis and playing with her “grandbabies” (five in Spokane, plus seven out of state).  As Mel herself says, “It’s all about them grandbabies!” 

Josh, Paint Foreman

Josh joined Wall & Company in the beginning of 2021 as a paint foreman. He brings many years of painting experience. He has enjoyed training our painters in the best industry standards and techniques.
